Use Newspaper to Practise Basic Maths Skills - there is no need to use worksheets. Flipping through Section A of Straits Times today, you see so many opportunities for primary level students to practise basic skills. In the comments section, I give examples. Have the students pose the questions too. Years ago, I did my doctoral thesis on problem posing and it is a good way for students to develop a range of skills that count. Teachers can use this for students to review for their coming PSLE - if they can do these basic level tasks, a pass is a given. | Mathematics
