VA shuffle again! Came in to behavioral health on a walk in status. Sat down with a counselor for five minutes who mostly just argued with me about my last visit that I cant even remember. No news of a prescription update. And the best part. The earliest appointment available with my Dr. is in eight weeks. We have a beautiful new VA facility in Austin but it is a facade. With no emergency or in patient services. Its the NIMBY attitude. Closest hospital with an ER is in Waco. So if I dont magically get better in the next day or two Im going to have to head out to Waco to get care, miss more work, then spend the next year going back and forth with the VA about why they need to re evaluate my claim. There are plenty of men and women that are in my position or worse and it really sucks. End of rant.
