BASIC INFORMATION • Direct report: Engineering Manager • Starting date: 1 November 2014 or by agreement • Working hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Thursday) 07;30 – 13:30 (Friday) • Place of work: 1 Cadle Street, Sidwell, Port Elizabeth • Salary: Basic (negotiable) + medical aid and pension • Applications closes: 30 September 2014 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Preparation and reviewing of mechanical estimates and quotations/tenders. • Preparation and reviewing of mechanical manufacturing and installation drawings. • Preparation and reviewing of project documentation. • Convening or attending project kick-off meetings. • Attend site meetings. • Technical support to Manufacturing and Operations Departments. • Compliance with ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bsc.Eng, B.Eng, B.Tech (Mech Eng) • Willing to register with ECSA • Valid Driver’s License EXPERIENCE No experience required, but experience in the following areas will give an application favorable consideration: • Structural and fabricated steel work • Pipe work: media and process • Ventilation/Air quality/Heating/Cooling • Conveyors and body/material handling systems OTHER REQUIREMENTS • The applicant must be willing to travel and have his/her own transport.
