She has been involved in casting upwards of 300 episodes of major network television as well as numerous feature films, live performance, workshops and pilots. Her selected television credits include COLD CASE (CBS), DRIVE (FOX), HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS), CSI: NY (CBS), THE MOB DOCTOR (FOX), the new Canadian Series “BITTEN” with SPACE and Entertainment One and the CW new series STAR CROSSED. Jennifer has also cast several network pilots including Pam Veasey’s I WITNESS, Chris Columbus’ APPLEBAUM, Joel Silver’s QUEAN and most recently Ruben Fleischer’s THE LIST, and this past pilot season Kurtzman/Orci’s IDENTITY (CW) and Justin Lin’s SCORPION (CBS). For over 15 years, she has provided innovative and creative casting for film and television productions from across Canada and around the globe. Maureen takes pride in providing an inspiring audition environment, and shes had the great fortune to work on projects with some of the worlds best writers, directors, producers and actors. Prior to pursuing her passion of casting, Maureen spent several years as a Talent Agent, which allowed her the opportunity to contribute to the development of some of Canadas best and brightest talent. In 1997 she launched Second Avenue Studios, a state-of-the-art casting studio, which set the standard for similar facilities across North America. As a Casting Director, Maureen is proud to have worked on film projects with, among others, Terry Gilliam, Rodrigo Garcia, Jon Avnet, Jonathan Levine, Ole Bornedal, Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego and Robert Redford. In recent years she has worked on The Possession, produced by Sam Raimi, 50/50 with Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law. She is currently working on The Company You Keep, directed by Robert Redford. Subscribing to the motto that no project is too big or too small, Maureen often donates her time and expertise to up-and-coming filmmakers on their smaller budget films. She has been able to uphold valuable relationships with talented directors and producers and takes great pride in her long term alliances with several film industry veterans. Maureen believes that young people thrive when exposed to the arts. In 2004 she founded Red Room Studios and created a scholarship program for children and teens. One of her greatest sources of pride is contributing to the success of the young performers shes mentored. Maureen has been a featured speaker at the Vancouver International Film Festival Trade Forums and a panelist at the Women in Film Flash Forward Series.
