VERSUS: There are 666 portals to hell and THE FOREST OF RESSURECTION is number 444, this is where a couple of escaped convicts, a group of Yakuza and two bad cops find themselves...but they are not alone! The forest is a place where the dead does not stay that way, they become zombies, and soon the forest turns into a blood drenched warzone! Wonderfully insane, this is a must see for lovers of gory and over the top action flicks. Some good make-up and really kinetic camerawork draw you into the action, even though the story lacks a must needed polish. Director RYUHEI KITAMURA later went to HOLLYWOOD where he directed the gruesome VINNIE JONES horror movie THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN.
