VERY WELL SAID vv Arnab might ask, “Was it really necessary for Arvind to use public transport for his Lok Sabha campaign in Mumbai? Isn’t the common man inconvenienced by this? Isn’t this just a facade of being an Aam Aadmi? THE NATION WANTS TO KNOW!” I’d like to point out that Mumbai is inconvenienced by VVIP movements multiple times in a year. They shut down traffic movement at signals and traffic comes to a stand still on highways just so a few people can get from point A to point B without any hassles. It’s almost as if the people in power have no idea what the common man goes through day in and day out. When Modi came to Mumbai traffic snarls were reported for hours on end. And if I remember correctly, every ‘Modified’ person was boasting about that! At least with AAP the problem lasted barely an hour or two as his rally went on. The problem here isn’t AAP, its volunteers, media persons, the police or the public. It’s the system which doesn’t have fixed guidelines or any accountability. And even if such things do exist, we think it’s okay to bypass them for the (s)elect.
