VICTORY for consumers! After receiving a ton of negative publicity, General Mills dropped the unfair fine print that deprived customers who used its website of the right to sue to settle a dispute. The verbiage appeared to limit consumers’ right to sue if you ‘liked’ them on Facebook or downloaded a coupon from the website. General Mills is not the only company using arbitration to dupe people, though. Check out the link below for a list of other companies with this predatory practice. Click LIKE if you think other corporations should follow suit and stop using unfair fine print to strip consumers of their fundamental right to go to court.
