VOKES STEPS UP REHABILITATION WITH A GOAL! Sam Vokes stepped up his rehabilitation programme by completing 45 minutes in the Burnley U21 Development Squad fixture against Carlisle United this afternoon. The Welsh international came through unscathed and even got himself on the scoresheet in the 2-0 win at Gawthorpe. A host of first-team players were involved against the Cumbrians and Marvin Sordell extended the Clarets advantage. Speaking on Vokes rehabilitation, boss Sean Dyche said: “It’s his first real step on the way back and he’s been training with us and growing in confidence as well as feeling good. “The next stage of that was obviously playing in a reserve game and he’s done that today and got 45 minutes under his belt.
