”Why would Jesus tell us to pray, ‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven,’ if His will were already being done? Why would He tell us to pray for something we are already experiencing? That would make this prayer a purposeless exercise. Heaven looks like Gods will. He wants it to be that way on earth. We have to pray in order for it to be done, which means it isnt already being done. There are things happening here that are not the will of God, or the Lord’s prayer would be meaningless.” Luke 11:2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
