VOTE OF THANKS & MATTERS OF SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) Malawians and friends. The Executive Committee and planners of the 2013 - 49 years Malawi Independence wish to sincerely applaud you all for your participation in making the celebrations a resounding success. The just concluded Feedback and Evaluation from the community, other Diplomatic Missions and business community have one question in common “How do Malawians make it happen on their own without direct Government injection?” We have only one answer- “The Spirit of One Malawi that looks at no name, no trade or tribe but a belief that we are one and gain our strengths in various areas of our diversity and talents knowing that every Malawian is gifted and has something to offer for our common progress.” Your efforts thus far have created solid chapters within the Malawians community in Botswana – Society of Malawi is now a school where many stakeholders and diplomatic missions wish to benchmark as per requests reaching us. To the over 400 plus of you that came – We say -"Thank you so much and May His Majesty – God Himself lift you up, your families and Malawi at large! There are a few things to take care of, charity outreach, reconciliations and administrative logistics. The Executive Committee has kindly resolved to complete these tasks to create a clean page for the new members to be voted soon – to this end – kindly note that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will shift from 03 August 2013 to a date soon to be announced and communicated. Malawians should rest secure in the knowledge that we will ensure the AGM takes place – we just need to clear logistical matters considering the massive events we just completed.
