VSCC Speed Season draws to a close at Goodwood this weekend Our Autumn Sprint will bring another fantastic VSCC Speed Season to a close at the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit tomorrow, Saturday 25 October. A sunny day is forecast and entry is free to Spectators so why not join us for the end of season celebrations? The Club’s 80th Anniversary Year has seen another packed calendar of almost a dozen Speed Events that have taken us from Silverstone for the Pomeroy Trophy in February to this weekend’s finale at the revered Chichester venue. In between, we have celebrated a milestone 50th Anniversary of the Curborough Speed Trials, a star-turn on the Mercedes-Benz World Circuit as part of the Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival, the Club’s first ever visit to the famous Santa Pod Raceway for the Club’s 80th Anniversary Sprint and a spectacular three days at Prescott in August, which included a well-received Friday event using the long course – yet another first for the Club. This weekend will see yet another capacity entry of over 100 Pre-war and Historic Racing and Sports-Cars take to hallowed Goodwood – notorious for its challenging, fast and flowing airfield circuit – for their final track activity of the year. Spanning almost half a century, there is sure to be machinery on display to meet all tastes, from the Edwardian 1913 Daimler Mercedes Rennwagen GP to rear-engined 1957 Cooper Type 41...
