Vacancy Alert - Training Manager - Contract Leading Training Institute in Port Elizabeth would like to offer a six month contract with the view of becoming part of the team and more to an incumbent with vision, Chutzpah and tenacity. The successful individual will be required to assess the training centre and implement strategies and general streamlining of the business. A Catalyst for change is needed Reporting to the HR Director, KPI’s include: • Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement. • Develop testing and evaluation procedures. • Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors. • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. • Manage and plan external and internal training initiatives. • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops • Experience in dealing with relationships with partners, vendors and clients is beneficial • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs • Marketing and promotional strategy development experience would be beneficial • Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards • Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees • Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by community schools and designate training procedures. • Prepare training budget for department or organization • Establish and maintaining a relevant and up to date database of possible suitable candidates • The ability to work in a dynamic and fluid, high pressure environment • The ability to understand the nuances of the curriculum and the skill of students, and make in-flight adjustments accordingly • Enforcing discipline within the training process and ensure the company’s induction process for new recruits is adhered to in order to ensure quality output to the various branches. The suitable candidate minimum requirements include: • A relevant training qualification. • Business acumen with a good understanding of training, the functions and applicable legislation. • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines. • Ability to build and maintain working relationships. • Must be a team player by nature and have the ability to operate independently. • Strong communications skills, both written and spoken, and the ability to communicate with all aspects of the business, from sales through technology, as well as with clients, partners and vendors at commercial and technical levels is crucial • Strong presentation skills and experience in delivering training courses (preferably technical) is highly beneficial Interested candidates may contact Yolanda Vermeulen on 041 373 0827 / [email protected] We Endeavour to contact all our candidates timeously to inform them of the outcome of their application.
