Vacation Bible School this year is June 9th-13th. This is a VERY good volunteer bullet and it is one event where you impact the very community of McConnell! This is one of those events where when you complete it, it leaves you with one good feeling that will last a long time. The very e-mail from Wendell Skinner is as follows: The Protestant Chapel will be holding a Vacation Bible School 9-13 June 2014 from 1800-2100 each evening and we are looking for volunteers to help us with the program. It is called Weird Animals: Where Jesus Love is One-of-a-Kind. No experience is required and training is provided. We need volunteers for many positions to include: 1. Station Leaders (repeat their session 4 times each evening with a new session each evening) a. Sing & Play Stampede Leader - outgoing, musically inclined, motivated, dramatic leader b. One-of-a-Kind Bible Adventure Leader - lead kids through interactive Bible stories each day c. Imagination Station Leader - use Sciency-Fun Gizmos to point the kids toward the Bible lesson for the day d. KidVid Cinema Leader - help kids to understand real world needs and how Jesus love can help (provide DVD lesson e ach day) e. Untamed Games Leader - lead the selected games to help illustrate each days lesson f. Spotlight VBS Leader - photographer and Spotlight VBS leader (place photos in provided program) g. Tail End Leader - lead daily drama at end of each evening 2. 10 Crew Leaders - guide a crew of 5 kids through the program for the evening, helping them get from place to place and developing relationships with the kids. You are their friend for the week; their big brother or big sister. Each crew is made up of mixed-age kids to better represent a family dynamic.
