Various Packages available - Ganpatiphule Beach - 2 Nights / 3 Days Day 1 : Ganpatiphule Beach Early in the morning proceed to Chiplune (305 km) just 12 km before Chiplune stop at Lotte Parshuram to take a darshan at Parshuram Mandir. This mandir is dedicated to Bhargavram or Parshuram. There is a central shrine surrounded by two smaller buildings. It is a devotional place. This temple is situated near mumbai-goa highway. The temple is having an idol of parashuram in middle, god brahma in right and lord shankar on the left. 300 years ago brahandra swami reconstructed the temple and that time the idols of gods were consecrated here. The combination of hindu, muslim and european architecture is seen in this temple. There is a temple of renuka , mother of lord parshuram, behind the parashuram temple. There is a tank called as banganga talav which is believed to be made by parashuram by arching five arrows to the ground. There is a festival every year on the mahashivrathri day. After darshan proceed to dervan to see the artificial site of shiv shurshtri. This is a marvelous place 14 km from chiplun, onmumbai goa highway where you can watch the entire life history of chatrapathi shivaji maharajah through pictures and statues. Near about one corrode rupees were spent on construction of this site & it took 15 years to complete this site. Coronation of shivaji maharajah, fight with shahistakhan, shivaji riding on horse, etc are some of the notable statutes to watch here. Great social workers like sitarambuva walvalkar worked for bringing up of this marvelous place. From visitors point of view dervan has cultural importance. After dervan then proceed to ganapatipule (80 km). On arrival check in to the hotel evening free to explore the town and beach overnight halt. Day 2 : Ganpatiphule Beach After breakfast proceed to sightseeing covering places as mention below Ganapati Swayambhu Temple : before starting the sightseeing first of all visit the 400-year-old ganapati swayambhu temple, located on the foothill, and an important place of homage. There is an interesting ganapati-shaped walk of 1km around the hill, which is called pradakshina, a way of respect shown by the pilgrims to the deity. It is said that ganapatipule is one of the eight significant ganapatis (ashta ganapatis) of india. malgund : a kilometer away from ganapatipule, is a small village called malgund, home town of famous marathi poet keshavsoot who pioneered modern marathi poetry. Visit his beautiful monument and the museum there, which is gives information about modern day marathi poets. Ratnagiri :the district town of ganapatipule is an interesting halt for sightseeing. It houses the home of lokmanya tilak, now tilak smarak. The first ever temple built for non-brahmins called patit pawan mandir, the ratnadurga fort, bhagivati bunder, a sea port and the coconut research centre are some of the other places you could visit in and around ratnagiri. Also, stop at velneshwar, to visit the old shiva temple and the beach. You could relive moments from history, at thebaw palace, built in 1910-11, for the king and queen of burma, who were exiled. Jaigad fort: stop at the 17th century jaigad fort, 35 km away from ganapatipule, located at the entrance of the river sangameshwar, and allow yourself a magnificent view of the sea. In the evening return back to ganapatipule overnight halt. Day 3 : Ganpatiphule Beach After breakfast return to mumbai/pune on arrival drop at residence / airport / railway station with memorable experiences of pancard clubs.
