Velvet worms spit a glue-like substance onto prey. The immobilising material is a mix of proteins that impedes movement and, the more the victim moves, the more it gets entangled. Once the victim is completely paralysed, the velvet worm will inject them with saliva and munch on them. Little is known about these worms, as they spend most of their life hidden in moist areas, but researchers have found a new species in Vietnam
