Veniamin (Benjamin) Margolin, Honored Artist of Russia, is undoubtedly known as the greatest orchestral trumpet player of all times from Russia. Maestro Margolin served as Principal Trumpet of the Leningrad Philharmonic from 1947 to 1974, under the baton of the great Mravinsky. Maestro Margolin also taught at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, 1956-58, and from 1986 until his death in 2009.
