‘Verdict’ Obliging Man To Pay His Ex-Wife KD 27,000 Comp Revoked The Court of Cassation revoked a previous ruling that obliged a man to pay KD 27,000 as compensation to his ex-wife and issued another verdict to cancel all compensations she had filed, related to the eligibility for real estate owned by the ex-husband.Earlier, the plaintiff (wife) sued the exhusband for KD 27,000 and share of the real estate he owns, so the court ruled in her favor. Meanwhile, defense Attorney Abdullatif Bu Hamra during another session denied all allegations the ex-wife presented against the defendant with documentation, and the court revoked the first ruling. Meanwhile, the Criminal Court refrained from pronouncing judgment against a Kuwaiti woman who was accused of destroying her husband’s second wife’s car after a verbal altercation between them.According to the case file, the plaintiff and the husband were inside the house when suddenly she saw the defendant burning the car at the back of the house and fleeing the scene afterward due to a previous quarrel. Defense Attorney Zaid Al-Khabaz implored the court to acquit his client based on contradiction of the statements and lack of technical evidence, indicating the accusation is rooted in suspicions that the plaintiff committed the crime due to previous quarrel between them. He described the accusations as unfounded and false.
