Very frustrating hunt today. Put on white Tyvek suits i wear for inspecting attics and crawl spaces. Tool the Ruger 10/22 with CCI SubSonic ammo and set up in woods behind house where weve been hearing yotes. 1 minute into call a beautiful totally BLACK coyote comes running to about 25 yards and stops. Friend is 10 yards from me and watched me attempt to brain the coyote. I had the GoPro recording and shoot. I missed the brain but must have hit a fraction of an inch behind (back). We tracked blood for about 150 yards and its obvious I did not make a good shot. He travelled back to where all the recent howling has been coming from. Im very disappointed but think about the HD video i can enjoy......until back at the house I see a video file but Windows says there is an error and cant read it. My sin MIGHT be able to fix it but.. I said oh well, Ill just have to do it all over the NEXT time I call a BLACK coyote over WHITE snow....DOH-!
