Chris Graham Peoples pets are not only being blown in from the storm, however being brought to other county shelters because of the simple fact they had nowhere else to take them and over population. Ok folks Ive been making calls, talking to folks and getting FACTS from sources. Please read all the way through as I am going to try to answer some of the most frequent questions Ive gotten as of today. 1. WHAT ABOUT THE ANIMALS IN GEORGETOWN? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- via Washington Fire Department (updated an hour ago) The Tazewell County Animal Control picked up 60 animals at the Georgetown Common area in Washington. Animals were either in the building or in the surrounding area. Almost all of the collected animals have been returned to their owners or are accounted for. If you are still missing an animal, call the Tazewell County Animal Control at 309-477-3370. Animal Control staff will continue to monitor the Georgetown site and area for wandering animals. I WANT TO VOLUNTEER - IM COMING IN FROM OUT OF TOWN AND BRING LOTS OF PEOPLE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do NOT just show up. I NEED A PLACE TO CHARGE MY PHONE ------------------------------------------------------------------ AT&T has a fabulous van set up in the Cherry Tree Shopping Center. You can leave your phone in a locked box and run errands while it charges if need be or sit in their van and charge it.
