Very often you might have heard your granny telling you that during their time marriages worked out and today its not happening. True to some extent. So many marriages work out because: "staying together" "compromise" "societys opinion" Matter. But my point is whether its earlier generations or present generation, Marriage WILL work out if DEEN is what matters,if Deen is your priority. You marry someone for their wealth and if their financial condition degrades, its all over. You marry someone for their beauty and with age,you start losing interest. You marry someone for their fame and social status,if it doesnt stay forever, its all over. It will not work out if wealth, beauty and fame is the priority as these things will perish with time. They are temporary. But if you marry someone for their "Deen",it will work out , in sha Allah. Because to that person, Obeying Allah, the Creator and following the ways of the greatest man who walked on the face of the Earth-Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a priority. How can he disrespect her?How can both not fulfill their duties and rights? They love each other for Allahs Sake. Every act-job,household work, loving and taking care of each other, maintaining relations..every act becomes an act of worship,an act of Pleasing their Rabb and growing closer to Him. They not only have a successful marriage but also benefit mankind together for Allahs Sake. May Allah bless us with such righteous spouses who will help us grow closer to Allah. Aameen.
