Vic Falls in Zimbawe We were in Zimbawe for only a few days, so that we could see the waterfalls from the side we heard is most beautiful, and also to avoid the allegedly horrible ferry border crossing that goes directly from Botswana to Zambia. The waterfalls were truly amazing. We went on a very good time of the year when theyre not too dry; and also not just after rainy season, when the short trek along the viewpoints is a constant shower and when its impossible to take pictures. We did get wet: Teresa ended up looking like she had signed up to a wet t-shirt contest. And taking pictures was a problem after viewpoint number 12, when all we could get was raindrops on the lens. We spent an afternoon watching the bungee jumpers jump from the bridge while we drank beer, and also we were lucky to see the steam train pass through the bridge as we were crossing it ourselves. Then we crossed the border to Zambia, where we had just enough time to spend an afternoon chilling by the swimming pool before catching our flight to Bilbao right on time for Gorliz fiestas. We took a week off travelling, enjoyed the fiestas, family and friends, an returned to find our car just as we left it in the hostel.
