Vicki and I went recently to see the final Hobbit Movie, in which is a great fiery Dragon, the likes of which I have never seen before! It reminded me of Revelation 12 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon,and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. When Jesus came by miracle of the incarnation, it was truly an INVASION of the Kingdom of Heaven into a dark and fallen world. Herod, being jealous upon hearing about the birth of a rival King, sent soldiers to slaughter the innocents of Bethlehem... This, too, seems right out of the devastation in the Middle East — refugees fleeing for their lives, taking cover in a foreign country. Recently we heard of Taliban terrorists who killed some 145 people in a school in Pakistan, 132 of which were children... and again recently 4 Christian children under the age of 15 were confronted by ISIS terrorists who beheaded them after their refusal to convert to Islam. Yes, Christmas is about the manger, the shepherds, the angels and Magi come to worship Jesus, but remember, there is also a Dragon. Thank God Jesus Invaded this world to bring the Kingdom of Heaven. The invasion of this Kingdom continues... through you and me, the Church, His body, until the fullness of His Kingdom Come! Maranatha! Pastor Ray
