*Videogame related* As I pontificate and reflect on my gaming experiences it makes me chuckle at how things have changed yet remained the same. I remember when attempting to make a living in Fighting games was preposterous. Sponsorships were not even a thought, Mad Catz was COMPLETE dogshit and inferior to other peripheral companies at the time. Empire Arcadia as a fledgling brand in development along with its members helped create memories that will stand the test of time, we made it cool to place a companies acroynm in front of names, and sooooo much more. Its funny when I think about it. Ppl dissed us back then, now EVERYBODY is trying to emulate what we (EMP) has done lmao! We have dealt with shiftless snakes who sought to bring us down because NO ONE in the country could stop us. Due to some of the players mindsets, some have left and some have returned and I am sure their are those who are thinking of leaving. As a company we are stronger together as a whole than we are individually. Most gamers, even some I personally know are ASS when it comes to BUSINESS. To be a "pro gamer" one must understand the landscape. Sure, you can go out to an event here and there but IF that player wants more than that they NEED to understand how to play the REAL game aside from mashing buttons. Sadly, some will never learn while others will ascend. In the end Empire and its members (past and present) CHANGED how things are: done, Implemented, and viewed. Many will NOT say it but I will. The sacrifices many of our members have throughout the yrs to enact this movement may never fully come to light but the road was long and perilous with many companies and individuals trying to steal our players, NOT PAY US, perform work and NEVER be truly credited...We however will continue to move forward despite the haters. Again, Its just funny to me how things have changed in this FGC scene yet have remained the same. Excuse the typos and lack of paragraphs, this was typed via my blackberry. Had to get this off my chest.
