Violet and her sister came to The Upscale Tail for bathing, brushing and trimming, while their coats are growing out for a more traditional breed standard, Bichon style, haircut. Its important to remember that Poodles, Bichons, and your other commonly referred to as, non-shedding breeds, DO still shed hair but, in a different way. Instead of shedding typically as Labs, German Shepherds and Huskies, do, when their hair detaches, it stays INSIDE the coat. The longer the dead hair stays in the coat the more it will tangle and matt. This is why brushing these breeds frequently & regularly is so very important.
