Visited with the neurosurgeon, Dr. Cook, yesterday. It looks like my leg problems are from my bad back. To make a long story short (& writing in easier terms to understand) the discs in my lower back have crushed together trapping nerves between them. Im not a candidate for invasive spine surgery because of my scoliosis so, it will be out & out back surgery. I asked Dr. Cook if this surgery will end my leg pains and he said that he cant really say how much it will since he doesnt know just how bad the nerves have been damaged but it will surely help. I go back Tuesday, the 4th for pre-op then surgery at The Community Hospital on Friday the 7th. Yeah, Im scared. With my lung problems, being under anesthesia is always a risk. But, Ill place it in Gods Hands & shake off the fear. Prayers appreciated.
