We have had local tax increases. My taxes were for Hampstead were $4130 in 2008 & are now $4967, that’s a 20.27%. Please check your own records. As for the civic center/arena, my opponent continues to use the WRONG interest rate. The 2% rate will be guaranteed by the Green Municipal Fund under their federally funded mandate. I won’t make promises without full information. Remember, my opponent promised the residents around the old Fire Station property that he would not interfere in the choice of size of the building and yet as soon as he found a loop hole, he led the charge for a 16 story building. Voting record The Mayor sets the agenda. I voted for the projects that were available. My objections to the way we handled the Ash tree crisis started in 2012, but due to his “cone of silence”, I was not allowed to voice my objections as the item never made it out of caucus (private council meeting). The measures I voted for in 2013 were to make the best out of a terroble situation. Council Support I knew that the 3 incumbent candidates on the opponent’s slate support him.
