W. M. Reed Firewood and Household Business began in 1940, with help from his son, Alvin Reed and Families. They gave up the House Hold Business in 1941, and in 1942 they changed the name to Reeds Fuel. By 1970, the business was located off 42nd. Street for many years and they were hauling Sawdust, Bark Dust (Hog Fuel), Wood Chips, Presto-Logs, Lumber, Veneer, and Plywood. Today Reeds Fuel & Trucking has a large fleet of trucks and trailers nd has expanded there hauling to 3-other States.
