Content: The following alert has been issued by the Department of Parks and Wildlife An ALL CLEAR advice has been issued for people 8km east of Sawyers Valley, near Gorrie Road south of Great Eastern Highway in the Shire of Mundaring. • The bushfire is now under control. • The fire was reported overnight on Friday 14 November • The danger has passed but you need to remain vigilant in case the situation changes. WHAT TO DO: • Drive slowly and with caution due to smoke and emergency services personnel working in the area. ROAD CLOSURES: Avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site RECREATION SITE CLOSURES: No recreation sites are closed. WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING: • Department of Parks and Wildlife firefighters have been busy since the fire was reported . • Firefighters have mopped up and left the area safe and will monitor the area for the rest of the day. EXTRA INFORMATION: • The fire was reported overnight on 14 November and currently there has been 5 hectares burnt. • The cause of the fire is unknown • The Department of Parks and Wildlife is managing the fire.
