WAITING, BUT PREPARED. Tacloban is now in an anxious waiting mode for the coming of Supertyphoon Ruby/Hagupit. The height of the panic buying for provisions happened yesterday, but there were still some significant crowd of late buyers this day, even in formerly less frequented grocery stores. There were also noticeable lines of vehicles in some gasoline stations, though less than yesterdays lines. The vehicle traffic today had also become lighter compared to yesterdays situation. There is already visible military and police presence for the security of business establishments around the city. The local people are certainly much more prepared now than the coming of Supertyphoon Yolanda/Haiyan last year.
