WARNING WARN:ING WARNING Avoid Club Gold Coast at all costs. The security detail violently assaulted a good friend of mine, David Birr. A total of 8 people, all black males, took turns kicking, punching, and choking him UNTIL HE FELL UNCONSCIOUS. After he woke up, they kicked him again and again while he was in a fetal position at the front door, PLEADING FOR HELP which did not come. When I tried to break up the fight, I was thrown against the wall, whereupon I tried calling the police. My phone was slapped to the ground and broke, and I was dragged into the middle of the valet driveway. I had to watch David being viciously beaten, under duress, forced to sit and do nothing to help my friend. You cannot possibly imagine the anger, guilt and horror of this crime. He kept begging them to stop, crying for help, and there was nothing I could do. There is much more to this story, but the takeaway is that AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS. T here are dangerous, violent, homophobic guards, all of whom are completely out of control. Managers Claudia and Johnathan Johnson tried to intervene, and in my opinion, they were intimidated by these thugs and basically were herded away from the scene. SO! Keep an eye on the news for a story where 8 black males conspired to assault a man because he is effeminate, to the point of it being intent to create bodily harm. There are multiple felonies here that @Detroit Police did not even record. The male officer acted in a way that indicates commiseration with the security guards. At one point, he said youre lucky {large black man] could have beaten you even more. Perhaps John Corvino and FOX 2 Detroit may be interested in this assault. A lawyer I contacted is extremely interested. Im sorry to ruin everyone Saturday morning, but this is a serious incident that cannot even be overstated due to its unbelievable violence. This will not stand. That is all.
