WAS NOT THAT A SIGHT? Isaiah 40. 9 O Zion that brings good tidings, get you up into the mountain, O Jerusalem that bring good tidings, lift up your voice, lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, behold your God. Ezekiel 37 gave a picture of a nation in spiritual death. The prophet saw a vision in the valley of death and there he saw very dry bones. Can these bones live?, the Spirit asked him, and he answered correctly, Lord though knows. He was then instructed by the Spirit to prophesy to the bones, say unto them, O you dry bones , hear you the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God unto these bones; BEHOLD I WILL CAUSE BREATH TO ENTER INTO YOU AND YOU SHALL LIVE. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath within you and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD. So I PROPHESIED AS I WAS COMMANDED: and as I prophesied, there was a noise and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above, but there was no breath in them Then said he, prophesy unto the wind, prophesy son of man, and say to the wind, Thus says the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came upon them and they lived, and stood upon their feet. an exceeding great army And he said unto me, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Israel were thrown out of its land because of stubborn disobedience. The Sabbaths which are to be kept in the home was not observed and they were cast out into Babylon. In the valley of these nations, they were shut up in oppression. The prophet saw their return to the homeland. However Israel never changed their ways and were again cast into bondage under the harsh heels of the Romans. Thus the prophecy of Isaiah 35 and 40. God himself would come to deliver them, but they would not know the hour of their visitation. Yes, God came as Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ, he was in the world that he made, but they did not know him AND ISRAEL REJECTED HIM. He came and fulfilled the law and rose again and gave Israel the gospel which they rejected, so he turned to the Gentiles. The GENTILES FIRST BELIEVED, BUT THEY TURNED AWAY, . And today, the prophets who are not born again, LAY in the bosom of deception, calling the dry bones of the valley converted and see not that they are dead. Can you see and hear? Will you be saved and born again. Look back at the prophet John the Baptist, declaring to Judah, BEHOLD YOUR GOD, and the new testament prophet Mathew, God is with us and the Apostle Paul, calling JESUS CHRIST, the great God and our Saviour. Get out of the valley by the word of God and receive the Holy Ghost and get up to the mountain shouting in loud strong fearless voices, BEHOLD JESUS CHRIST, BEHOLD THE LORD JESUS, YOUR GOD. None can see who a new birth have not shared, and the Lord is calling , turn, obey, take the keys of Acts 2.38 and worship him in Spirit and in truth.
