WASHINGTON, DC PLEASE SHARE FOR DONATIONS DEER NEEDS EXTENSIVE DENTAL WORK / $240 STILL NEEDED FROM MY FRIEND Rena RF: INFO: Re-posting! Weve raised $310 for Deers dental, which is GREAT - I really appreciate it! We need another $240 to meet Deers expenses for his dental procedure, which is scheduled for next week. So - help!! Donations are tax deductible!! Ive tagged a few of you asking for some shares. I need to raise funds for Deers dental!! Donation Link: https://fundrazr/campaigns/cnhvb/ab/61F4Q0? Details are below. Donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Please share - and if you can, even a small amount, help us get Deer the work his teeth need! Deer is an older gentleman who was saved from a high kill shelter by Seniors for Seniors USA. He was adopted out in 2013, but was sadly returned a little more than a month ago when he was diagnosed with diabetes. Hes back with his former foster, who is safely treating his diabetes. We sure hope Deer wont need insulin one day! Thats possible with good care and smart treatment mixed with just a little bit of luck. One of the biggest contributors to high blood sugar in cats and especially our diabetic, super sweet sugar cats is issues with dental disease. You all know with yourselves: you neglect your teeth at your own peril! Its the same for cats. Dental disease can cause a host of other issues within the feline body, and the pain and discomfort can cause blood sugar to elevate. Our diabetic kitties are especially susceptible to this last issue. And, our awesome diabetic-experienced vet tells us that Deer really needs dental work. We are sad that his teeth are bothering him, but happy that we know what to do. We really need to raise the funds to do it, however. Our vet, Burke Animal Clinic in Burke VA, estimates that Deers dental work will be $400, and they recommend we do $129 of pre-surgical pre-screening to ensure Deers safety to undergo anesthesia. Thats $529 total, and Ive rounded up to $550 figuring that there will be another $21 in meds and what have you. Can you help Deer get his fabulous teeth properly cared for and help us give him a chance to get off insulin entirely? And again - any amount you can donate is TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Seniors for Seniors USA is a 501c3 nonprofit. And ANY amount is appreciated. A great journey is often comprised of many small steps - so we rely on the smaller donations to get us over the line. If you cant donate, we totally understand but would sure appreciate it if you share this with friends to see if we can get Deer the attention his teeth really need. CONTACT: https://fundrazr/campaigns/cnhvb/ab/61F4Q0? Feel free to write me if you prefer to make a donation via check and / or US mail, or directly to the vet. I can facilitate that.
