WATER SAVING IN THE BATHROOM **Did you know that 40% of your daily household water is flushed down the toilet** Each time we use the bathroom and flush the toilet we use 5-7 gallons of water,now thats alot of water but there is away you can cut that amount by 15%-40% 1)Put small to medium sized water filled bottles in the tank to help reduce the water in your tank when it fills up 2)Be careful of using any type of brick or rocks or concrete items,after time small bits and pieces can break off and ruin your plumbing system 3)Or you can buy a toilet displacement device from your local hardware store this is usually a bag that you fill with water and hang it inside the tank they are said to be cheap and affordable but sometimes your local utility department if you ask may give them out for free to help reduce the citys water consumption 4)Toilet Dams- These are dividers you can place in your toilet to isolate water from certain areas of your tank,you can place two into a tank and each divider can save 1 gallon of water (these are easy to install) The average toilet is flushed at least 8 times a day and you have installed water saving devices you are saving 8-16 gallons a day, 56-112 gallons a week,2900-5800 gallons a year If 10,000 people used a water saving device it would save our Earths water to 29 million-58 million a year
