Child Care SubstituteTeacher Job Location: Wallingford, CT Child Care SubstituteTeacher (40393) Child Daycare Center Masonicare Corporate Services Wallingford WALLINGFORD, CT Full Time – TEMP (Approx 3-6 Months) OR PER DIEM - AS NEEDED DAY SHIFT: 6:30AM - 5:30PM (FLEX) **NON-BENEFITTED POSITIONS** Under the general supervision of the Director and Head Teacher, assumes the responsibility for planning and executing the daily program of activities to meet the developmental needs of a specific group of children. Works in cooperation with other staff members in providing quality care for all children in the center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Contributes to the achievement of excellence in healthcare by supporting the quality and caring values of the philosophy of Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center (MGHC). 2. Contributes to the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate program according to the criteria established by the National Academy for the Education of Young Children to ensure the ongoing quality of the program. 3. Promotes the optimal growth and development of all children 4. Supports the growth and development of all co-workers. 5. Respects and supports families in their task of nurturing children. 6. Ensures that the program is based on current knowledge of child development and early childhood education. 7. Performs other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field preferred. One year of teaching experience in an early childhood program. Professional experience caring for infants specifically is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
