WEALTH BY GRACE! 2Cor 8:9 - For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich. Its high time we adjusted and balanced our prosperity message of the present Church age. Wealth, like every blessing of the Kingdom of God, is not earned primarily by human works, but enjoyed by grace! And I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all (Eccle 9:11). The grace for wealth is a function of Gods favourable or opportune time that cannot be bought! Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price (Isaiah 55:1). Until giving is done from a spirit of worship, the gift of the giver will certainly not be accepted by God! (Isaiah 1:11-14.) The heart determines the harvest! (Luke 8:15.) The soil of the human heart must be fertilized with love and thanksgiving for it to bear fruit (2Cor 9:11-12). We do not have to give with an attitude and mentality of earthly and carnal transaction, saying in our hearts: God, I am giving you this, so make sure you pay me back. He actually does not need anything from us to sustain Himself or run His project on earth. The earth is the Lords and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. (Ps 24:1). If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof. (Ps 50:12). There is no amount of giving that can qualify us to receive the wealth of Gods Kingdom, without Gods grace. True giving that brings abundant returns is that which is done cheerfully, in realization and appreciation of Gods manifold grace shed abroad upon mankind. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (2Cor 9:7).
