There is a general apathy amongst some believers to pray to the lord. The attitude is like God seldom hears our prayers. While to others, it is as if father God has favorites, the naïve and unlearned in the things of God, conclude there is a special way to approach God which is not known to man. But scriptures are as clear as to what to expect if we can discipline ourselves to pray to the lord. As you start your day learn to address the lord through your prayers. Do not wait till you need things from God before you start to pray to him. Many persons including believers have a perverted impression or understanding about God. God to them is only relevant when they need to seriously fix a need. Many people in desperation move from one place to another, seeking solution to their spiritual needs. The question I sometimes ask is this ‘is it not the same God they are going to make request to in all these different places?’ He is not restricted to one location. He is everywhere. He is the Omni present one; meaning, he is in several places at the same time Hear this, God only listens to prayers that are aligned with his will. Imagine for instance a jealous lady prays to God to kill her friend so she can take over in marriage her best friends’ husband would God answer such prayers? Certainly not! He will not. This kind of request is evil. He is a righteous God. He does only what is right. We are also given the liberty to determine what we want. God answer prayers. As you talk to your earthly father on a daily basis, so we are expected to talk to God on a daily basis not only when we want to urgently fix things. PRAYER OF DECLARATION I will make my prayers to the lord early and daily to the lord. I will acknowledge his ways. Thy words have I hidden in my heart so that I may not sin against thee. I love you lord, you are not there just to merely fix things for me. You are there for me at all times and I will be right there for you at all times.
