WEDNESDAY: FIREFIGHTER visits Family friend, Andre, was with Jack Wednesday afternoon and Fire fighter instructor Arron Huntington and his wife Becky visited. Followed by Captain Dan, Jacob Sheridan & Gerard Brown who travelled over from Crook County fire station to visit (where Jack was stationed in Prineville). John wasnt with Jack when everyone visited, but Jack REMEMBERED and told him all about it Thursday morning. Very impressive!! Emma and her boyfriend took over for Andre to hang with Jack, then cousin Amanda. Then along came John for the night shift. He slept really well and was ready for some breakfast when he woke up! UKULELE and a guitar A musician who plays for patients came to Jacks room to play, friend Andre picked up,the loaner guitar a sweet lady had left for Jack to play. Jack stood up and started swinging his hips and dancing to the beat! Jack has been picking up the guitar and playing, not same caliber as prior, but its sounding good and makes Jack feel like Jack! FOOD Jack hasnt needed to receive any bonus (stomach tube feeds) for a few days now, hes eating!! And, if to tired, a Boost (protein drink) has been given. Great news!!! HOME Jack is excited to go home for an overnight stay at home, yep overnight! This is a time for the immediate family to navigate what they need to do for any accommodations! Friends, soon will be able to visit. Jack may be home from rehab within the next week, originally the case manager thought insurance would approve a longer stay (3 more weeks), but apparently he only has 30 days. THURSDAY day Jack had an appointment with trauma team this afternoon at the Dr. Pavilion at OHSU.
