WEEK 1 (1) INTRO HELLLLOOOOOO TO ALL OF YOU!.....to all of you......to all of you.....to all of you. Did you just hear that echo? Yeppers.......that was an echo here in my home. Yep! We are in the same boat as yall. My Airman is also gone :( ..... a proud member of the USAF RESERVES! BUT,......heres the good thing.....the most greatest thing that has happened to you since dropping off your loved one! Youve joined our Group.....one of the most AWESOME GROUPS since they invented POST ITS and sliced bread! You are one of us now! We here at AF WingMoms are your military family forever and ever!!! :) My son, Cody, whom Im LOUD & PROUD to call an Airman now, (ahemmm.....clearing throat) graduated as a LOUD N PROUD KNIGHT in September 2013 from BMT and Dec 2013 as a KC135 Flight Crew Chief. I will try my darnedest, in my Missouri accent, with my expert advisor, Wingmom Sheri, to answer your questions, always be there with an ear to bend, share my own stories if ya want one, hand out hugs ever so gently, be your shoulder when ya need one, or offer ya my hand when you need a pick me up. Thats why were here! We will all survive this together.....and get YALL thru these next CRUCIAL weeks and to that ever so anticipated FINISH LINE! Its not always about who finishes first, or who finishes with Honors, or who finishes after who,......but who FINISHES!!! - Wingmom Terry Quoting the last few words of the Airmans Creed that gets me every time......AND I WILL NOT FAIL! is exactly what your Trainee is thinking right now. The Captain has instructed us all to Fasten Our Seat Belts! I believe its time to go for THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE! ;) I believe its time to get those pens and paper out and lets start writing. Daily if ya can! They will truly enjoy seeing your encouraging words and You can do it! letters and cards in PLAIN WHITE envelopes. ;) Our awesome writing leader, Ms Connie, is gonna give ya lots of really cool ideas to guide ya, in your own TRS/FLT Groups.
