WEEKLY BROADCAST WEEK OF 17 AUGUST 2014 COMMANDER’S CORNER: - TopicsExpress

WEEKLY BROADCAST WEEK OF 17 AUGUST 2014 COMMANDER’S CORNER: Al Kinsall, Groton Base Commander Shipmates;I am happy to announce that a new employment con-tract has been negotiated between the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the Club Manager (CM/P). The terms of her new contract is through March 31, 2015. Just two more Saturdays and clubhouse will be returning to normal hours. Just in time for NFL Season. Beer, chili and football just goes together... The August Executive committee/Leadership Team meeting scheduled for Wednesday 3 September has been rescheduled for Tuesday 26 August at 1800 hrs. The reschedule is due to Monday closure of the clubhouse and also due to two members of the Eboard not being available because of the National Convention. September’s Eboard/Leadership Team meeting will return to its usual day and time (last Monday of the month). The next edition of BOAT NOTES is coming up real fast. Later in this broadcast I have put out an appeal for members who own business’ to advertise in out publication as a way of raising non-dues revenue. This is critical so we don’t have to reduce the number of issues or even eliminate the production of this popular publication. Boat reunions or other bases can also run specialty ad’s. It’s a great way to reach your shipmates. Best Regards; Al IN THE SPOTLIGHT: TODAY’S SUNDAY BRUNCH Brunch today was well attended (60). All tips went to Kaps4Kids.
