Just over three years ago, I launched Oxford Street Bulimba Marketing as an entrepreneurial start-up with the vision of positively promoting & engaging our urban village, our businesses, our community groups & schools, and our local stakeholders. And I would like to thank everyone for embracing my vision that has come to life. My business now has over 60 Sponsors & Marketing Members, has delivered 5 events to engage our community, has engaged 46,000 unique visitors to our website, has had almost 20,000 people check-in to our Facebook page, and has over 6,000 Facebook, Twitter & Instagram fans & followers. Tonight we have engaged over 60 Bulimba, Hawthorne, Balmoral & Morningside retailers across many sectors, as well as community groups, sporting clubs & schools who work tirelessly to succeed in their businesses which is their livelihood - to make our community so liveable for locals & such a vibrant destination for visitors. Many are independent family-run small business operators, some are franchisees. Some are home-based, many have a retail shop presence. A lot of have been operating many years, some are start-ups.
