WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY WITH A SPECIAL FRIEND! Thanks for sharing this joyous day with me Anne-Aabee Oliphant! At home, Annie and I started our day with glasses of champagne while enjoying the beautiful warm day at our deck. We then went to lunch at Sakoontra Restaurant for the delicious Thai dishes of vegetable soup, spring roll, crispy fried duck with basil leaves, Panang chicken curry and noodle salad with ground pork. We had fresh ripe mangoes for dessert. We then proceeded to Trattoria Villagio (used to be one of Pres. Reagans favorites), a great Italian restaurant in Clifton, Virginia. We had a tray of different savoury Italian cheeses and meat cold cuts of Genoa salami, ham and thin beef slices (coppa). We enjoyed these treats with a bottle of Paradise Springs red wine produced in the local winery and vineyard. What a delightful day that makes us appreciate how great life is! A wonderful time with a great friend adds a splendor to our day! What a blast! Cheers Annie!
