WHAT BECOMES OF THE HEART What becomes of the heart when that one comes through the door, that one with the smile? The one that you have watched for nearly every day, perhaps as far back as playing in the sand pile. She makes no pretense of what she is doing, and meets no resistance, because both know what has happened and are off to share their lives in a place that surely resembles a storied Camelot… Every moment, every day, she does and says little things to prove she is the one, but with no need. For it became so obvious at the first hello and when most time was spent trying to think but dizzied. Falling in love with the one is rationally considered an initial event, written about by poet’s pen.
