WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD? Is the bible wrong when it says something? No! Not at all! God gave man the Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth (bible) in order to guide his steps as the psalmist say that “your word is the lamp onto my feet to guide (psalm119:105)”. This instruction must be obeyed as it leads to eternal life. “All the scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking the error, correcting the faults, and giving instructions for right living SO THAT the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed(2Timothy3:16-17). However many people have been trapped by the false prophets who obstruct them from assessing the word of God through reading the bible by themselves. In their churches, they dance on loud music for 3 hours, even after God rebuking them from doing so through prophet Amos (Amos 5:23). NOTE: when people were imitating David through dancing, thinking God is pleased with their songs or David’s songs, God rebuked them through Prophet Amos. They then take 5 minutes reading the bible (sermon). Not only a mere sermon but they predict goodies to their followers if they pay or offer lump sum money. These false prophets then initiate/start their own churches in order to have freedom to exploit their followers (Remember the church is the property of God with Christ the HEAD not a man property). It is due to this reason that I am writing to you so that you may know who the true Prophet of God is basing in the scriptures so that your eyes may open in order to seek your ancient path you lost and ask for the direction to follow (Jeremiah 6:16) Is it the will of God that we be established in the present truth? • 2 Pet 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and be established in the present truth. This is the facts concerning the true prophet of God: • 1. Speaketh in the name of the lord with authority • Exo 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2 . Prophecy must come to pass • Deut 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. • 3. Even if prophecy comes to pass, must not lead to other gods • Deut 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, • 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; • 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul 4. Must concur to the teachings of the former prophets • 1 Cor 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. • 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 5. Must uplift the Law of God as a standard of holiness by promoting people to adhere to it. Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. EXo 20:6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 1 john2:3-4 If we obey Gods commandments then we are sure we know Him. Those who say they know him but do not obey His commandments are liars and there is no truth in them. 2 john1:9 Anyone who does not stay with the teaching of Christ, but goes beyond it, does not have God. Whoever does stay with the teaching has both the father & the son 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, andthere was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: 6. Honours the sabbath as the sign between God and his people • Eze 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them. • 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God. • Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them. • Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. • 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his. • 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 7.Warns the people of the coming events by preaching the present truth • Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand; • 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations. What did Jesus teach concerning the days prior to his coming? • Matt 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. • Matt 24:45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? • 24:46 Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. The false prophets bring false teachings • Mark 2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles. • 2 Cor 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. • Isa 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: • 30:9 That this [is] a rebellious people, lying children, children [that] will not hear the law of the LORD: • 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: WHO ARE THESE CHILDREN AND DO THEY HAVE A MOTHER ? Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
