WHAT IS THE DIVINE SCIENCE OF PRAYER! https://facebook/groups/328287137324450/ Someone recently posted on my site “The Science of Prayer” on Facebook the question, “What is the science of prayer?” This will give you some insights into the Divine Science of Prayer. Some people who think they are extremely smart and are “Scientists” seem to think that science and true Christianity are incompatible – that they have suddenly, through education, out grown the need for God’s Word. “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.” Psalm 2:4. There are many who are too exalted in their own opinion to receive this mystery. There is a science that the Most High would have these great men understand; but they cannot see the Truth, the Life, the Light of the world. Human science is not divine enlightenment. Divine science is the demonstration of the Spirit of God, inspiring implicit faith in Him. The men of the world suppose this faith to be beneath the notice of their great and intelligent minds, something too low to give attention to; but here they make a great mistake. It is altogether too high for their human intelligence to reach. {6BC 1113.10} Learn some of these Principles of “The Science of Prayer” and use them when you pray for greater success in all of your life! These principles are the secrets that God wants to teach you so that your lives will be a wonderful story of success! Here are a listing of a few of these principles. (1) SUCCESS IS A GIFT WITHIN GOD’S PROMISES How to exercise faith should be made very plain. To every promise of God there are conditions. If we are willing to do His will, all His strength is ours. Whatever gift He promises, is in the promise itself. The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11. As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in His promise. If we receive the promise, we have the gift. {Ed 253.3} (2) WHATEVER GIFT HE PROMISES, IS IN THE PROMISE ITSELF. (3) GOD HAS PLACED HIS POWER IN THE PROMISES OF YOUR BIBLE. You create things with your hands. God created and creates everything by speaking them into existence “He spoke, and it was done” “God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.” Psalm 33:9; Romans 4:17. Learn how God creates a new heart, new thoughts, and new life within you through His word. (4) GOD WILL WORK FOR AND THROUGH US WHEN WE RECOGNIZE OUR WEAKNESS AND HELPLESSNESS AND THE POWER IN HIS WORD Learn how to let Him take you through life successfully. The weak and helpless who trust God are able to stand against the greatest powers of Planet Earth. (a) Enoch stood pure in heart in a corrupt and scoffing people. (b.) Noah, opposed by many physically and mentally strong men, successfully went through the complete destruction of the world. He was protected by God and His angels. (c.) The helpless children of Israel were attacked at the Red Sea by the mightiest army of the mightiest nation on the globe. God’s angels protected and them and took them safely through the sea on dry land. Exodus 14 https://biblegateway/passage/?search=ex+14&version=NKJV (d.) David, a shepherd boy, trusted God’s promise and became the king even though King Saul and his army wanted him dead and sought to kill him. (e.) Shadrach and his two friends were thrown into a raging furnace of fire by orders of king Nebuchadnezzar and walked through the fire safely with Jesus and came out of the fire without even the smell of fire on their clothing. Daniel 3 https://biblegateway/passage/?search=dan+3&version=NKJV (f.) Daniel was put into a cage with hungry lions through the hatred of some of those in the government but angels protected him and brought him safely through the trial. Daniel 6 https://biblegateway/passage/?search=dan+6&version=NKJV (g.) Jesus suffered and died on the cruel cross laughed at by the Jewish priests is alive today, ruling the universe and invites you to one day sit with Him on His throne. - John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:2; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 3:21. (h.) The Apostle Paul in chains led to have his head chopped off will live again but Nero who ruled the world will not. (5) GOD HAS GIFT WRAPPED EVERYTHING YOU WILL EVER NEED AND PLACED HIS GIFTS IN HIS PROMISES. This is the secret that many Christians have yet to discover. This is the source of POWER that many have never discovered. Others have lost sight of this powerful principle. When a person has lost his sight we say that he is “blind.” God says that many people in our generation say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” Revelation 3:17 (6) THE THIRD ANGEL’S MESSAGE OF REVELATION 14:9-12 LEADS THE LEARNER TO PLACE HIS OR HER FAITH IN THE EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES OF GOD. We have “lost sight of” them. Today many say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich” Revelation 3:17-18. Here is a people who are blind to God’s “exceeding, great and precious promises,” who think they can see clearly but are really “blind.” We must have the “gold” of God’s exceeding great and precious promises for the gift of His Holy Spirit. “Some of our brethren are not receiving the message of God upon this subject. They appear to be anxious that none of our ministers shall depart from their former manner of teaching the good old doctrines. We inquire, is it not time that fresh light should come to the people of God, to awaken them to greater earnestness and zeal? The exceeding great and precious PROMISES given us in the Holy Scriptures have been LOST SIGHT OF to a great extent, just as the enemy of all righteousness designed that they should be. He has cast his own dark shadow between us and our God, that we may not see the true character of God. The Lord has proclaimed himself to be “merciful and gracious, long- suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.” Selected Messages Book 1, Page 372 Several have written to me, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is THE THIRD ANGEL’S MESSAGE, and I have answered, “It is the third angel’s message in verity.” Selected Messages Book 1, Page 372 God wants you to discover the power of believing His promises. God wants you to discover the power of asking God for the gifts within His promises. God wants you to memorize His promises and repeat them often in prayer – asking God for the very gifts He has promised you. Every promise in the Bible is meant for you personally. “The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His word. It was by His word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His word He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His word was with power. He spoke the word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ”. {MH 122.1} The Scriptures are to be received as Gods word to us, not written merely, but spoken. When Christ said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” When He said to the woman of Capernaum, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” He is speaking to you. Matthew 9:2; Luke 8:48. “So with all the promises of Gods word. In them He is speaking to us individually, speaking as directly as if we could listen to His voice. It is in these promises that Christ communicates to us His grace and power. They are leaves from that tree which is for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2. Received, assimilated, they are to be the strength of the character, the inspiration and sustenance of the life. Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being.” {MH 122.3} The science of prayer is learning how to receive God’s gifts. “Whatever gift He promises, is in the promise itself. ‘The seed is the word of God.’ Luke 8:11. As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in His promise. If we receive the promise, we have the gift.” (7) ONLY THE SENSE OF GODS PRESENCE CAN BANISH FEAR ”Only the sense of Gods presence can banish the fear that, for the timid child, would make life a burden. Let him fix in his memory the promise, The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7.” (8) READ THE STORIES OF GOD’S INTERVENTION AND PROTECTION IN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE Ask God that the same faith that was seen in their lives may be seen in your daily life. These things were not written merely that we might read and wonder, but that the same faith which wrought in Gods servants of old might work in us. In no less marked a manner than He wrought then will He work now wherever there are hearts of faith to be channels of His power.” Education, page 256. (9) LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS JESUS HAS LOVED YOU “One of Christs last commands to His disciples was Love one another as I have loved you. John 13:34. Do we obey this command, or are we indulging sharp, unchristlike traits of character? If we have in any way grieved or wounded others, it is our duty to confess our fault and seek for reconciliation. This is an essential preparation that we may come before God in faith, to ask His blessing.” {Christ Object Lessons, page 144.2} (10) DON’T ROB GOD – RETURN A FAITHUL TEN PERCENT TITHE There is another matter too often neglected by those who seek the Lord in prayer. Have you been honest with God? By the prophet Malachi the Lord declares, Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’ ‘Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:7- 8. {COL 144.3} “As the Giver of every blessing, God claims a certain portion of all we possess. This is His provision to sustain the preaching of the gospel. And by making this return to God, we are to show our appreciation of His gifts. But if we withhold from Him that which is His own, how can we claim His blessing? If we are unfaithful stewards of earthly things, how can we expect Him to entrust us with the things of heaven? It may be that here is the secret of unanswered prayer” {COL 144.4} “But the Lord in His great mercy is ready to forgive, and He says, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. ‘And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,’ ‘And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,’ Says the Lord of hosts.’ Malachi 3:10-12.” {COL 144.5} “So it is with every other one of Gods requirements. All His gifts are promised on condition of obedience. God has a heaven full of blessings for those who will co-operate with Him. All who obey Him may with confidence claim the fulfillment of His promises.” {COL 145.1} “But we must show a firm, undeviating trust in God. Often He delays to answer us in order to try our faith or test the genuineness of our desire. Having asked according to His word, we should believe His promise and press our petitions with a determination that will not be denied.” {COL 145.2} (11) ASK AND ASK AND ASK BASED ON HIS PROMISES “God does not say, Ask once, and you shall receive. He bids us ask. Unwearyingly persist in prayer. The persistent asking brings the petitioner into a more earnest attitude, and gives him an increased desire to receive the things for which he asks. Christ said to Martha at the grave of Lazarus, ‘If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God.’ John 11:40.” {Christ’s Object Lessons, page 145.3} Luke 11:8 - “because of his PERSISTENCE he will rise and give him as many as he needs.” “But many have not a living faith. This is why they do not see more of the power of God. Their weakness is the result of their unbelief. They have more faith in their own working than in the working of God for them. They take themselves into their own keeping. They plan and devise, but pray little, and have little real trust in God. They think they have faith, but it is only the impulse of the moment. Failing to realize their own need, or Gods willingness to give, they do not persevere in keeping their requests before the Lord.” {COL 145.4} (12) PRAY EARNESTLY AND WITH PERSISTENCE “Our prayers are to be as earnest and persistent as was the petition of the needy friend who asked for the loaves at midnight. The more earnestly and steadfastly we ask, the closer will be our spiritual union with Christ. We shall receive increased blessings because we have increased faith.” {COL 146.1} Luke 11:5-13. (13) HAVE FAITH – BELIEVE THAT HE WILL ANSWER AND REWARD YOUR FAITH “Another element of prevailing prayer is faith. He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6. Jesus said to His disciples, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24. Do we take Him at His word?” READ MORE ON GOD’S DIVINE SCIENCE OF PRAYER whiteestate.org/books/ed/ed30.html whiteestate.org/books/sc/sc6.html glowcentral.org/promise-of-peace-2/ whiteestate.org/books/mh/mh7.html whiteestate.org/books/sc/sc11.html whiteestate.org/books/col/col12.html Please be God’s Missionary and share this information by highlighting, copying and sending this entire message to everyone you know via email and, or, going to the bottom of this post and clicking on the word “share” and the word “public” that will appear when you click on “share.” Do this and it will be on your very own timeline on face book.
