WHAT IS TO COME: We as Americans must not be deceived: the peace - TopicsExpress

WHAT IS TO COME: We as Americans must not be deceived: the peace we see in our land shall not last. How can it? A new season of reaping is upon us; the old harvest is about to come to an end, the harvest of peace and protection that has been upon our nation as result of the holy living of those who came before us, and the respect they had for God and his principles. The seeds they sowed blessed all of us in this nation, the righteous and unjust alike. But now that harvest is nearly over. A new harvest is upon us, the result of seeds sown by those of us who turned to evil. We removed prayer from our schools; we desecrated the honor of marriage; and we made systematic murder of the unborn acceptable through our courts. Whatever is not good, we have justified it; whatever is not right, we have promoted it. We have not honored God as our ancestors have, those who came to America before us, whether as slaves or free men and women. Under humble circumstances, they cried out to God for help. They vowed to respect the principles of his word, at least to some degree. No, they were not perfect; not everything they did was right. But they at least had a conscience, and through that conscience, those who lacked justice could petition for it and receive it some day, as we have seen with the progression of justice and progressive equality poured out on all of our people, with even our modern president being one of the beneficiaries of that justice. Had we continued to honor God, our nation would have continued to go forth as the mightiest nation on earth, blessed and protected by God in every way. But now we are in grave danger, far more than we can imagine. Destruction is near, unless we repent. God still loves us; he is exhorting us to turn away from sin. He does not desire to see suffering come upon America, but our sins are so great that he no longer is being left with a choice. He is a God of justice, and we must reap what we sow unless the blood of his son Jesus purifies us from those sins. But America does not seem inclined to repent. We no longer have any shame left. Our hearts have grown cold to the God who has shown us nothing but love. I fear the worst for our people. Stop and listen. Can you hear the cries of men and women dying in our streets? The blood of little babies being shed by those who hate us? We shall hunger like never before. Disease and sickness shall ravage our land. What is unimaginable now shall be plain for everyone to see. Do not be deceived, America: we must repent before it is too late. Boldly renounce the evil our nation and turn back to what is right. It is the only thing that can save us. I had another vision from the Sovereign Lord. In it I saw a basket of fruit. The Lord asked, “Amos, what do you see?” “A basket of fruit,” I answered. The Lord said to me, “The end has come for my people Israel. I will not change my mind again about punishing them. On that day the songs in the palace will become cries of mourning. There will be dead bodies everywhere. They will be cast out in silence.” Amos 8:1-3
