Sorry, American Heart Association, that flies in the face of the dogma that fats should not exceed 10% of total calories. Definitely, avoid trans-fats. I think everyone is aware of that problem these days as even McDonalds advertises the removal of fat from their arsenal of killer ingredients. Avoid polyunsaturated fats from vegetable sources and replace those with the mono-unsaturated fats from olive oil. If you eat much meat, be aware that it is saturated fat that youre consuming.
