WHAT PRESCHOOLERS SHOULD BE LEARNING 1 . Language - Read books related to the daily life of the children such as family, food, objects in the house, behavior, nature , animals and plants. Teach the names and sounds of alphabet 2 . Mathematic - Teach and read books about squares, circles, triangles , rectangles , etc. .. , Count and learn the meaning of each number from 0 to 100 . Let children help with cooking (use math language such as less/more, small/ big , high/ low , smaller/ larger, and colors). Teach basic addition, subtraction, and basic fractions like 1/2 pie, 3/4 apples , etc. .... Also point out 3 dimensional shapes 3 . Physiology - Teach and read the books about parts and functions of body. 4 . Biology - Teach and read books about species of mammals, reptiles, plants, birds, flowers and fish . 5 . Geography - Read books about where children live, continents mountains, rivers. Also point out the signs traffic signs . 6 . History - Tell children about family, history, explorers, inventors, etc... 7 . Music - Let children play with trumpet, drums, flute , etc. .. Sing and and dance and listen to nursery rhymes. 8 . Art - Give children lots of paints, brushes, papers. Show them famous painters such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Da Vinci, Rembrandt , Botticelli, Michelangelo. 9 . Literature - Read poetries and children s stories. 10 . Physical exercises - Run, jump, swim, martial arts , soccer, etc. .... for at least 30 minutes a day. (SPL)
