WHO MADE IT TO THE TOP 8 All Group winners made it to the quarter finals beating the runners up of adjacent groups. Of the 8 remaining teams there are 4 European (Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium), 3 South American (Columbia, Argentina, Brazil), and 1 North American Team (Costa Rica). None of the 8 teams lost any of their 4 games so far: Netherlands, Columbia, Argentina, and Belgium won all their 4 games each. The Netherlands and Columbia didnt need extra team to beat their opponents in their last games. Both France and Germany had 3 wins and 1 tie so far. Both needed extra team to win through the round of 16. Brazil and Costa Rica had two wins and two ties so far; they both tied in the round of 16 and needed penalty kicks to go through.
