WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM LOVE OF CHRIST?…Romans 8:35-39 Who or what shall separate us from the love of Christ? I will like you to ponder over the entire scripture today, particularly that questions in the midst of your harsh trials and life’s battles. Consider below how all the Disciples of Christ served God and died cruel deaths in the process, but nothing could separate them from the love of God-not even death. Peter: He was crucified alive. Paul: After so much trials and attacks from the government, he was beheaded in Rome by the order of Emperor Nero. Barnabas: This caring and humble man was to stoned to death at Salamis. Matthias: He was first stoned, then beheaded. Bartholomew: He was stoned to death. James the great: He was thrown down from a lofty pinnacle of the temple and beaten to death with a club. Stephen: First man to be killed by stoning outside the city at the feet of Saul (Acts 7:58). Luke the doctor: was hung upon the gate of Greece. John the beloved: Was put into a drum of boiling oil. He refused to die and was banished thereafter to a lonely Island called Patmos where he was inspired to write the book of Revelation( his frustration became his inspiration). Mark: He was executed at Alexandra after being crudely dragged along the street of the city. Judah: Shot to death with an arrow. Thomas: was speared to death in East India. If nothing could separate them THEN, by the grace of God nothing shall separate you and I NOW from the love of God in Jesus name. Why do believers of today give up so soon and seek after a “bread and butter’’ gospel? Where is the enduring love of the cross? Is not the same Christ we serve? Why see for alternative power sources of miracle? Why search for short cuts to miracle? WHY HAS THIS GENERATION EQUATED THE SUFFERING, TEMPORARY FAILURE, DELAY, PAIN, ETC TO SIN OR ENEMIES? Do you know that the cross is part of this race? Oh, don’t you give up now. Hope in God. Hold on in faith, holy determination and courage, It is well and it shall be well at last. Amen in Jesus name SHALOM
