WHOOOOOOO………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a wonderful visit today from John Barilaro, Member for Monaro and the Hon. Troy Grant, MP - Deputy Premier of NSW and Minister for many things including the arts. They were visiting us to announce $430,000 in grants for the redevelopment and production development at the Cooma Little Theatre. These grants are completely funded by the NSW Liberals and Nationals State Government. These grants were the result of 2 successful submissions lodged by CLT. One is for $3000 and is earmarked to support the appointment of a professional director to mentor one of our local directors to produce a fantastic production to celebrate our 60th Birthday which falls later this year. This grant is from the Country Arts Support Program. The other $427,000 is a grant under the ClubGRANTS Scheme. This will go to major redevelopment to the 65 year old building will include many improvements, including upgrading the foyer, toilets, and kitchen, disabled access, entire rewiring and new seats. To say the Committee is overwhelmed with excitement is a gross understatement. Standing ovations go to Stuart Burge and Lorraine Dubois whose work was pivotal in submission preparation of our successful applications.
